How To Download Movies Onto PSP In Five Easy Steps- Part 2

In Steps 1 and 2 you found out that you'll need a much bigger memory card than the one that is supplied with your PSP and how to format it so it's ready for use.

Step#3

Assuming that you have the video file on your computer this is what you will have to do in order to transfer the file. Plug your PSP into the USB port on your computer, using the USB cable provided. Once it is connected correctly, press the Home button which is located on the bottom left of your PSP. Next, scroll to the left to Settings, then scroll down to where it says USB Connection and push X. This attaches the memory stick to your computer.

Step#4

At this point you are ready to start the file transfer onto your PSP. Be careful here as this is where mistakes often occur. To be able to playback video files on your PSP successfully, they must be copied to the file path MP_ROOT > 100MNV01. The 100MNV01 folder can be found inside the MP_ROOT folder. Check to be sure that these files do exist. If not, create them exactly as written above. Use all capital letters with the 100MNV01 folder located inside the MP_ROOT folder. Additionally, the video file must be named properly in order for the PSP to play the file properly. Begin the file name with M4V and end it in any five numbers, for instance M4Vvideoguy34567. Once these steps have been completed correctly, you are ready to begin transferring the video file from your computer to your PSP.
